TO THE FOLLOWING POSTS
VACANCY DETAILS
1. (Vacancy No. 11091701410) Twelve Civilian Assistant Security Officers in various
Units of Army Headquarters, Ministry of Defence. Of the twelve posts, three posts are reserved
for Scheduled Castes Candidates, three posts are reserved for Other Backward Classes
candidates and remaining six posts are Unreserved. The posts are also suitable for Physically
Challenged persons with disability viz. Orthopedically Handicapped/ Locomotor
Disability/Cerebral palsy with One Leg Affected (OL) or One Arm Affected(OA) with Impaired
reach or weakness of grip or ataxic. QUALIFICATION: ESSENTIAL:A. EDUCATIONAL:
Degree of a recognized University. B. EXPERIENCE: Three years` professional experience in
Security and Fire fighting duties. DESIRABLE: Training in Fire fighting. DUTIES: To look after
Security, Fire Fighting and legal matters in Army and DGQA installations. To take counter
measures against security checks; maintain internal vigilance and gather intelligence
information. To educate staff about security consciousness and use of fire fighting equipments.
Also to render legal advice in civilian matters. HQ: Army Base Workshops, Ordnance Depots,
Engineering Stores Depots & Other Defence Establishments located all over India.
2. (Vacancy No.11091702210) One Senior Scientific Officer Grade-II (Chemistry) in
Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL), Central Bureau of Investigation, Ministry of Home
Affairs. The post is Unreserved. QUALIFICATION: ESSENTIAL:(i) M.Sc. Degree in
Chemistry from a recognized University or equivalent. (ii) Three years experience in
toxicological laboratory. DESIRABLE: Doctorate Degree relevant to Essential Qualification
from a recognized University or equivalent. DUTIES: Reporting officer of the division.
Conducting the examination/ analysis of exhibits in respective division. Deposing as an expert
witness when called upon by the Court of law. Research and development work in the respective
field. Supervision of the Scientific work of Scientific staff of the division. In the absence of the SSO-I ,to look after the administrative work of the division. Any other duties assigned by the
Director, CFSL from time to time.
3. (Vacancy No.11091703210) One Senior Scientific Officer Grade-II (Photo) in the Central
Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL), Central Bureau of Investigation, Ministry of Home Affairs.
The post is reserved for Scheduled Castes Candidates. QUALIFICATION: ESSENTIAL:(i)
Master`s Degree of a recognized University or equivalent, preferably with Science subject. (ii)
Diploma in Photography from a recognized Institute. (iii) Three years` experience in various
branches of Photography, including experience of scientific photography with theoretical and
practical knowledge of all its techniques. DESIRABLE & DUTIES Same as in Item No. 02
above.
4. (Vacancy No.11091704210) Two Senior Scientific Officer Grade-II (Biology) in the
Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL), Central Bureau of Investigation, Ministry of Home
Affairs. The posts are Unreserved. QUALIFICATION: ESSENTIAL:(i) M.Sc. Zoology or
Anthropology (Physical) or Botany from a recognized University or equivalent. (ii) Three years`
experience in Biological Laboratory. DESIRABLE & DUTIES Same as in Item No. 02 above.
5. (Vacancy No.11091705210) Two Senior Scientific Officer Grade-II (Physics) in the
Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL), Central Bureau of Investigation, Ministry of Home
Affairs. The posts are Unreserved. QUALIFICATION: ESSENTIAL:(i) M.Sc. degree in
Physics from a recognized University or equivalent. (ii) Three years` experience in laboratory in
spectrographic analysis, spectrophotometric analysis, X-Ray analysis and Physical properties and
measurements of various materials (including the building material). DESIRABLE: Same as in
Item No. 02 above. DUTIES: Examination of Crime exhibit of physical samples including
measuring of size etc., voice spectrographic Analysis, other Research & Development activities
and also to Act as Reporting Officer of the division under supervision of PSO/SSO-I/Head of
Division(Physics).
6. (Vacancy No. 11091706410) One Administrative Officer in National Film Archive of India,
Pune, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting. The post is Unreserved. The post is also suitable for
Physically Handicapped persons with disability viz. Orthopedically Handicapped / Locomotor
disability/Cerebral Palsy with One Leg Affected (OL)(Right or Left). QUALIFICATION: ESSENTIAL:A. EDUCATIONAL: Degree of a recognized University. B. EXPERIENCE:
Three years` experience of administration, accounts and establishment work in a supervisory
capacity in a Government office or a Public body or a commercial organization of repute.
DESIRABLE: Knowledge of Government rules and regulations. DUTIES: Overall in-charge of
Administrative Wing of the National Film Archive of India, Pune and to supervise the work of
Administrative and Accounts Sections. In addition function as Drawing & Disbursing Officer.
Implementation of Plan Schemes, Advisory Committee recommendations etc. To pursue the
NFAI`s matter with concerned Desk in the Ministry. HQ: Pune, with liability to serve anywhere
in India.
7. (Vacancy No. 11091707210) Three Assistant Director (Industrial Hygiene) in Directorate
General Factory Advice Service & Labour Institutes(DGFASLI), Mumbai, M/o Labour &
Employment. Out of three posts, one post is reserved for Other Backward Classes Candidates
and remaining two posts are Unreserved. QUALIFICATION: ESSENTIAL:A.
EDUCATIONAL: Master`s Degree in Chemistry or Bio-Chemistry of a recognized University or
equivalent. B. EXPERIENCE: Three years` research/ practical experience in Industrial Hygiene.
DESIRABLE: Doctorate Degree relevant of Essential Qualification (i) above from a recognized
University or equivalent. DUTIES: Conducting small independent studies in the field of
Industrial Hygiene and helping in major project work. Assisting in conducting the training
programmes. Collection of review material pertaining to the activities of the Division. Assisting
in the compilation of reports and returns. HQ: Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Kanpur and
Faridabad but liable to serve anywhere in India.

i) Posts at Item Nos. 1, 2, 3,4, 5, 6, & 7 are permanent.
c) PAY SCALE & CLASSIFICATION: (Figures in bracket at the end of the pay scale
indicate the approx Total Emoluments (per month) (T.E.) excluding TA and HRA at the
minimum of the scale).
i) Rs.15600-39100/- (PB-3) + Rs.5400/-(Grade pay) (T.E. Rs.31,710/-), General Central
Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted, for the posts at Item Nos. 2, 3, 4 & 5.
ii) Rs.9,300-34,800/- (PB-2) + Rs.4600/- (Grade pay) (T.E. Rs.20,989/-), General Central
Service, Group ‘B’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial for the posts at Item No. 1.
iii) Rs.9,300-34,800/- (PB-2) + Rs.4600/- (Grade pay) (T.E. Rs.20,989/-), General
Central Service, Group ‘B’, Gazetted, Ministerial for the post at Item No.6.
iv) Rs.8000-275-13500/- (Pre-Revised), (Rs. 30,000) General Central Service, Group ‘A’,
Gazetted, Non-Ministerial for the post at Item No. 7.
d) AGE LIMIT AS ON CLOSING DATE i.e. 29.09.2011:
i) Not exceeding 40 years for the posts at Item No. 3.
ii) Not exceeding 35 years for the posts at Item Nos. 2, 4, 5 & 7.
ii) Not exceeding 30 years for the posts at Item Nos. 1 & 6.
e) The age limits shown against Sl. No.3 is relaxed age limit for Scheduled Castes candidates.
The age limit shown against Item Nos.1, 2, 4, 5, 6 & 7 are normal age limit and the age is
relaxable for Scheduled Castes candidates upto 5 years and upto 3 years for OBC candidates in respect of vacancies reserved for them. OBC Candidates have to produce a caste certificate in

Selection.
f) Physically Handicapped (PH) Persons or Persons with disabilities, as indicated against
various item(s) in the VACANCY DETAILS, can apply to the respective posts even if the post is
not reserved for them but has been identified as Suitable. However, such candidates will be
considered for selection to such post by general standard of merit. Persons suffering from not
less than 40% of relevant disability shall alone be eligible for the benefit of reservation and other
relaxations as permissible under the rules. Thus, Physically Handicapped (PH) persons can avail
benefit of:-
i) reservation and other Concessions & Relaxations as permissible under the rules only
when degree of physical disability is 40% or more and the posts are reserved for PH
candidates.
ii) other Concessions & Relaxations as permissible under the rules only when degree of
physical disability is 40% or more and the posts are suitable for PH candidates.
g) HEADQUARTERS: At places specifically stated against certain posts, otherwise anywhere
in India or abroad.
h) PROBATION: The persons selected will be appointed on probation as per rule.
